Cage à image is a device combining the language of photography with the performative practice, redefining the realistic boundaries of photography itself. The audience is invited to look through a hole inside a cube covered with shiny black plexiglas. The eye of the viewer gets thrown at the center of a pornographic image, lighted by LED lights and endlessly reflected by mirrors, of which the cube is internally clad. This work aims to fragment the concept of reality in countless and kaleidoscopic repetitions where the voyeuristic act of spying through a keyhole takes the viewer in a broken up but infinite reality, in which the boundary between real and imaginary gets dissolved.
